Weaving Family & Work

We all know the pressures of caring for our family members, especially during this pandemic. This class will host our relationships with family, work, and ways we can show up to honour our responsibilities.

We will explore the following questions: How do we bring our family members along for our changemaking ride? How do we keep ourselves open to their influence on our work and perspectives on community? What factors outside of our circle of influence are affecting these dynamics, and do we want to be more intentional in shifting those norms?

In this session, your practice will grow by:

  • Sharing the journey with other caregivers on how to navigate family and work

  • Explore examples of how we manage and balance work and family tensions

  • Role play relationships to embody the experiences of our loved ones

  • Have an honest dialogue about the norms that influence our behaviours

This is for you if you want to:

  • Have some space to unpack your family and work journeys in order to weave a new story

  • Be your whole self, and be with others willing to share in that experience

This is for anyone who is exploring the ways to show up as your whole self in the responsibilities of work and family.

1 hour 15 minutes + optional Q&A for 15mins

This class will be hosted on Zoom and may include breakout rooms where you will be interacting with other participants.

Faculty: André will host you in this session.
